Wildcats is Cuth’s and Hatfield’s college cheerleading team. It’s open to both males and females.
Cuth’s & Hatfield Wildcats Cheerleading team is a warm and welcoming club of all abilities, from total beginners to more experienced cheerleaders, dancers and gymnasts. Most members of our teams have had little to no experience of cheerleading prior to coming to Durham, and so our training sessions are a very chilled and friendly environment, while also being informative and perfect for anyone who is wanting to try a new skill during their time at university!
We have two cheerleading teams to choose from, or if you are really keen you can try both! The first is our main stunt cheerleading team, which comes together twice a week to practice jumps, tumbles, dance and stunting (the lifting people up in the air stuff) with the aim of creating a routine for the end of Epiphany term.
The second of our teams is a more recent addition to our club, which is our Pom team. The Pom team is a really fun dance-based team which meets to practice once a week and aims to choreograph jumps, spins, leaps and pom throws into an energetic and engaging routine for the end of Epiphany term.
