Cuth’s Drama Society is one of the largest and most popular societies in Cuth’s, aiming to bring together all members of the Society with a love of drama, acting, directing, and performing. We aim to put on one main production each term: our pantomime in Michaelmas normally sells out without fail year on year and forms a key event in the run-up to Christmas in Cuth’s (Cuthsmas, if you will); our Epiphany plays (recently including ‘Black Comedy’ (2012) and ‘God of Carnage’ (2013)) were hugely popular, and our annual summer Arts Week Revue is the perfect wind down before Cuth’s Day.
We certainly deliver on the social side of things too: any excuse for a social is a good excuse! We hold a huge social at the beginning of Michaelmas so get down to the bar and say hello.
CDS is the perfect way to get involved in the Performing Arts and meet loads of people in college. If you’re keen to get involved, email drama@cuths.com or jean-sebastian.connell@durham.ac.uk
